Haemorrhoid is also known as piles. These are vascular structure present in the anal canal.  They act as a cushion. Everyone has these structure. Internal haemorrhoid can be classified in to 4 grade.
  • Grade 1- No prolapse, these are tiny haemorrhoid within the lining of anus.
  • Grade 2- These are present within the anus. These are slightly larger than the grade 1. Prolapse under pressure such as straining during bowel movement but return to the original position on their own.
  • Grade 3- Prolapse haemorrhoid.  These are present outside the anus. It can be pushed back in by the patient.
  • Grade 4- These haemorrhoid can’t be pushed back. It stay outside the anus at all times.

External haemorrhoid

These are located on the outside of the anus. It is the cause of painful bleeding. It looks like bluish lump. Patient feel uncomfortable while sitting.
